For Halloween this year, the Beck & Pollitzer UK Business Units donned their scariest outfits and donated to a cause very close to our company’s heart.
Andy Cameron – Engineering Manager Oldham, recently diagnosed with cancer, is currently under the care of The Christie Hospital in Manchester.
The Christie charity raises money for a range of projects and initiatives focusing on 4 main areas:
- Care & Treatment
- Extra Patient Services
All of which are above and beyond what the NHS provide, enabling them to give their patients the best care and treatment possible.
Donations help to fund much needed research, education for the future generation of cancer research, new innovative treatments not available through the NHS. Most of all they provide family services and exceptional compassionate care. Donations also help to create spaces within the hospital and its grounds for patients to spend time with family, without feeling like they are in a hospital, such as beautiful gardens. It is such a special place which needs charity donations to continue the special work they do to support families in their care.
Some of our business units even found inventive ways to raise additional money:
We would like to thank our Burton office for donating their swear jar collection – every little helps!
Our colleagues made a fantastic effort with their costumes and truly got into the spirit of the day…
We are incredibly proud to announce that we managed to raise a total of £300!
DO YOU WANT TO DONATE?
