Broaching machine packing 1951

Broaching machine packing to prevent any damage occurring during transport

This ThrowbackThursday is from 1951. The photo shows a Broaching machine from the side view, in the process of being packed by our Beck & Pollitzer team.

A Broaching machine is a tool for finishing surfaces by removing rough material. It has a series of cutting teeth arranged in rows, which graduate from the height of the teeth that cut first to those that cut last. Although some machines fix the teeth in a rotary position, it is more usual for the teeth to be in a linear design.

With so many moving parts, quality packing was vitally important to avoid any damage during transport. Today, Beck & Pollitzer takes the same quality care over our relocation projects, regardless of the size or type of machinery being transported.
